Project Buyer (m/f) for Aerospace, Ensisheim

Your responsibilities

• You prepare, optimize and organize all procurement relevant activities within a customer project as the procurement representative with the closest contact to the project manager

• You ensure best possible fulfillment of all project requirements by managing all relevant supply processes and keep all stakeholders up-to-date

• You monitor project related procurement transactions together with operational buyers and ensure up-to-date delivery information and dates to the customer project

• You ensure early procurement integration in the process of specifying technical requirements and processing purchasing requisitions and orders relating to the major and/or long lead time equipment

• You develop the project specific procurement plan, and pre-select suitable suppliers in line with applicable cluster strategies and approved vendor lists

• You manage during the customer project the interfaces between procurement, sales, project management and logistics functions to execute the agreed procurement plan

• You manage all relevant interfaces to those suppliers that are required in a customer project in coordination and alignment with commodity buyers to ensure the best fit suppliers for the customer project needs

• You negotiate project specific contracts and/or pricing as assigned/agreed and collaborate closely with engineering and technical departments.

Your profile

• You hold a technical/commercial university degree (Bachelor or above)

• You have at least 5 year experience in project procurement and/or project management

• You are familiar with the project business, automobile industry and/or Aerospace industry, ideally in the assembly lines systems business area

• You have experience in working cross-functionally and cross-culturally, ideally in working together with engineering/technical departments and/or sales

• You have good negotiation and analysis skills

• You have good SAP knowledge.

• You are fluent in English and French both written and verbal and ideally understand/speak German.
