Main Missions

• Administration and maintenance of operating systems as well as the hosted database systems. Ensuring the system operation of the IT infrastructure for SAS in Karlsruhe and systems in the datacenter at SAS and the plants
• Monitoring and analysing the systems performance and autonomous handling of possible problems according to existing procedures
• Implementation and Administration of virtualized IT systems
• Release and update management (operating systems versions and hotfixes) is base of any task and activity of this position
• Documentation of IT Infrastructure, Systems, Processes (SAS worldwide). Preparation of proposals and decision templates
• Ongoing organization of IT operations from a technical, administrative and management point of view as required by the company
• Implement IT equipment in all industrialization projects
• End user support for technical issues on server, clients, print systems and microsoft standard applications. First level support for SAS Karlsruhe and Second level support for SAS plants (including instruction of local administrators)
• Helpdesk, User Support. Troubleshooting (analysis of errors and bug fixing)
• Hotline service and on call duty (7x24)
• Proactive collaboration in terms of further development and optimization of IT infrastructure

Profile

• IT related education and long-term experience in administration of networks and server systems
• Well experienced handling of server work management and control language
• Expertise in the administration of Windows, Linux, VmWare, Veeam
• Knowledge and experience in administration of IT landscapes with network components
• Has analytical competencies
• Knowledge of TCP/IP routing, switching, VPN, Firewall
• Expertise in Energy Management knowledge (ISO 50001)
