Using our online travel magazine, our Content Marketing & Communication team aims to use relevant educational or emotional storytelling in order to get users to learn about and like trivago as their first source of hotel-related information. Now we are looking for an analytically minded individual who will focus on our campaigns in France in order to ensure that they are reaching as wide an audience as possible. You will need to know every element of your market and, as you seek valuable opportunities for our campaigns, you will research traffic, keywords and audiences in order to maximize our search visibility, reach and engagement. You will also stay on top of news and social trends in order to consider new content opportunities and potential project briefs to present to the team. You will be our analytics expert, employing tools to measure campaign performances and using the results to help inform our future strategy. As the team's search engine optimization consultant, you will ensure that all of our online magazine's content is optimized so as to increase our search engine visibility and check our backlink portfolio to make sure that reputable sites are redirecting to ours.
The ideal candidate
- Has 2-3 years' experience in the French travel industry, can display an exceptional knowledge of it and has a proven track record of success.
- Has 1-2 years' experience presenting at trade fairs and events.
- Has fantastic presentation skills honed through public speaking experience.
- Is willing to travel for a considerable period of their work time and is comfortable splitting their time between working in France and out of our office in Düsseldorf.
- Can recognize and capitalize on networking opportunities and develop useful working relationships.
- Will bring innovative ideas and provide a unique vision of how to increase our presence.
- Holds a degree in Tourism/Hospitality, Media, Communications, Business or a related field.
- Speaks French at a native level and is fluent in English.
- Can start as soon as possible.
About the department
Our newly founded Hotel Relations team is reinventing the way trivago connects with hoteliers. The team is aiming to establish trivago as a vital and attractive marketing channel for hoteliers though our hotelier platform trivago Hotel Manager. The team consists of a dedicated Hotel Marketing, Hotel Sales and Hotel Product team. Marketing is focusing on driving brand awareness and education in the hotel market, Sales is building strong bonds directly with hotels and Product ensures a strong engagement and retention of our active hoteliers. The Hotel Manager is a platform that empowers hoteliers to optimize their hotel profile on trivago in order to rank higher through better content or direct rates. At the same time hoteliers deliver exceptional content and attractive rates that enhance our core hotel search product.
